The neck tattoo is one of the shocking body parts to get inked as it's definitely noticeable and hard to cover up. It is so impressive for one who has gotten a tattoo and is not afraid to display it. Neck can be an ideal place to tattoo if you like it or it is trendy. However, as it is not being able to cover it up all the time, there can be heavy regret down the road. Some people will resort to wear band aids to cover up a neck tattoo in some situation.

Most neck tattoos are placed on the side of the neck or the back of the neck. The advantage of neck tattoos is that they are less prone to infections. However, there are some points that need to note. It is important to apply sun screen over the neck and the tattoo area as it can cause the ink fade. Bear in mind to take precautions with sun exposure. Normally, a tattoo usually heals in 2-3 weeks. It might take a bit longer time for neck tattoo as the movement of the head causing the neck tattoo to scab quickly.

If it happened, you might need to re-ink a neck tattoo to fix some of the patchiness. Don’t be afraid of it, these re-ink sessions are mostly not as painful as the initial session. In fact, getting a neck tattoo mostly is more painful than getting a tattoo on other parts of the body. The reason is that the skin on the neck is thinner. Of course, it all depends on the individual’s pain tolerance.
